Join us for an unforgettable culinary tour in Ponta Delgada, starting at the vibrant Mercado da Graça. Explore the island´s unique produce, fresh fish, sausages, and rich cheeses while learning about local cooking traditions. After selecting ingredients, we´ll head to the kitchen, where you´ll enjoy a hands-on cooking class. We´ll prepare four delicious courses, including soup, fish and meat dishes, and a dessert, all paired with local wines and cheeses. As we cook, you´ll also visit the host´s farm, discovering seasonal fruits and herbs that may be incorporated into our meal. To end the experience, we´ll gather around the table and taste our homemade feast.
Day by day itinerary
DAY 1:
PONTA DELGADA - FENAIS DA LUZ
- Meet your host at Mercado da Graça in Ponta Delgada.
- Explore the market, learning about fresh fish, sausages, cheeses, and local produce.
- Select ingredients for the cooking class.
- Travel to the kitchen to begin the hands-on cooking experience. (NOTE: Please let us know if you need transportation from the market to the cooking venue so we can advise of the extra cost.)
- Visit the host´s farm, discovering seasonal fruits and herbs.
- Harvest fresh ingredients, depending on the season.
- Prepare a four-course meal, including soup, fish, meat dishes, and dessert.
- Pair dishes with local wines and cheeses.
- Enjoy the homemade feast in a warm, welcoming setting.
- Transportation on your own back to Ponta Delgada. (NOTE: Please let us know if you need transportation back to your hotel or designated drop-off point.)
