The day unfolds with a stroll through lush vineyards, offering a glimpse into the heart of the winemaking process. Get to know Madeira´s unique terroir and the process of winemaking during visits to three different wine producers. You will also enjoy a homemade lunch at one of these charming wine estates.But this isn´t just a wine tour, it´s also an exploration of the beautiful island. Marvel at the breathtaking landscapes of the South and North Coasts, journey through the UNESCO-designated World Heritage Laurissilva forest, and get acquainted with the local communities of Estreito de Câmara de Lobos, São Vicente, and Seixal.
Enjoy a Day of Wine Touring in Madeira
As the day unfolds, we kick off with a visit to Funchal´s Blandy´s Wine Lodges, one of Madeira´s oldest and most prominent wine producers. Explore their cellars, uncover the secrets of winemaking, and taste the flavours of two exquisite Madeira Fortified Wines.
Next, we cross the island to the North Coast, where you will savour a delectable lunch in the middle of the UNESCO-listed Laurissilva forest. Our journey continues to the charming municipality of São Vicente, the second-largest grape-growing region in Madeira.
Enjoy lunch served in a traditional Madeiran manor house, perfectly paired with a selection of local wines. You will also get the chance to try the authentic Madeiran cuisine rarely found in restaurants. After lunch, we venture to Seixal to visit a wine producer´s residence, where you will experience another wine tasting.
Time flies when you are savouring the best of life and wine. It´s time to return to the South Coast, with one final stop at Barbeito´s, another renowned Madeira Wine producer in Câmara de Lobos, where you will taste some truly special Fortified Madeira Wines.
The return journey to Funchal will be around 5:00 p.m., arriving at the city centre by 5:30 p.m. Throughout the tour, our expert Madeira Wine guide will provide you with all the essential insights into the wine-growing region, its rich history, and the wines it produces. All tastings are expertly guided to enhance your experience.

Day by day itinerary
- 09:15AM: Pick up at your hotel in Funchal. If not pick up will be at Posto de Turismo Funchal (Tourist Information Desks)
- Meet your English Speaking Wine Guide and driver.
- The tour starts with a visit to the Blandy´s Wine Lodges.
- The next stop will be in Sao Vicente. Here you will have lunch at a typical Madeiran Manor House paired with a selection of local wines.
- After lunch head to Seixal where you will have another wine tasting at a wine producer´s house.
- The last stop before returning to Funchal will be at Barbeito´s, another Madeiran Wine producer, in Camara de Lobos.
- 05:30PM: Return to Funchal.
