Introduction
Explore the Albariño Wine Country of Cambados, Tasting the Galician Excellent White Wines of the D.O. Rías Baixas
The fishing village of Cambados offers a unique food and wine experience. Located in the valley of O Salnés in the Rías Baixas region, it is the heart of Albariño wine and the sanctuary of seafood. Visiting Cambados will captivate you, its personality and its own characteristics make it worth visiting, the wide variety of wineries, museums dedicated to wine, and beautiful historic country houses.

Galician Manor House Wineries of Pazo de Señorans and Pazo Baion
Pazo de Señorans is a 16th-century manor house located in O Salnés, built in the countryside. The owners, Marisol Bueno and Javier Mareque, bought the property in 1979. It was one of the few wineries that started producing the great Albariño white wines from Galicia aged in the bottle. Currently, the vineyards occupy an area of approximately 50 hectares.

Pazo Baión is a micro-universe with different natural spaces as well as some Galician buildings like the “Pazos” (ancestral homes). This winery grows the highest quality of Albariño grapes in a unique ecosystem under the concept of Vino de Pago (a type of Spanish Protected Designation of Origin for wines that guarantees the origin of the grapes and the wine from a specific rural site), the first in Galicia. The peculiar characteristics of the granite soil for cultivation, the old aged vines, and the different orientations of the vineyards with the proximity to the sea give the wine great sensory complexity.
Hermitage of Nosa Señora da Lanzada
The church of A Lanzada was part of a 10th-century fortress, a Roman necropolis from the 4th century BCE, and has a medieval tower. It was built in Romanesque style in the 13th century and on the inside contains a statue of a Virgin linked to the oldest Galician fertility rituals. It is located in breathtaking scenery where heritage and nature blend together.

The Village of the Hórreos (Granaries): Combarro
The beautiful old town of Combarro, declared Property of Cultural Interest, is without any doubt one of the most beautiful villages that you should visit in Galicia. This seafaring town is considered to be a great example of the three traditional architectural elements in Galicia: "hórreos" (raised granaries), "casas marineras" (sea houses), and wayside crosses. It is also the largest concentration of traditional hórreos, with more than 60 granaries, highlighting more than 30 oriented in line with the banks of Pontevedra bay.

Add reviewDidn´t have much time, so booked a private day tour around Rias Baixas wineries with Sean. We had a wonderful day including a seafood lunch in Cambados. He was friendly and knowledgeable, and would definitely recommend and use again.
